As a kid, I remember that negative feelings were not well perceived by the elderly. "Don't cry, men don't cry", "stop complaining, you will get punished", "don't be shy, look at the other kids who are not shy", are phrases deeply rooted in my conscious and subconscious system. As a result, and growing up, I've been finding it challenging to acknowledge and express my feelings, positive or not. If this rings a bell, if you find it challenging to spot and express your feelings, consider using the "emotion wheel chart" when you need to realize or express how you feel. It will be tremendously helpful!
